Finished Retaining wall installation in Evansville Indiana. Mr Dirt designed and installed stepped retaining wall on Evansville North Side home. Mr dirt also did extensive dirt grading and sod installation.
Wall is back filled. Mr Dirt uses two types of rock when backfilling our walls.
Mr Dirt further secures our retaining walls using deadman fabric. This anchors the wall into the ground behind it. Keeping the wall from moving. Retaining walls stand a much better chance at a long straight life if this step is done. However you must get to a wall that’s 4ft in height before deadman fabric is effective.
Additional drainage was installed in this driveway before it was poured.
In this picture you can see the retaining wall. It has a full size footer underneath just like our 4 or 5 ft tall retaining walls. We choose such a large footer to stop any ground swell that comes with freezing and thawing.
Mr Dirt started this job with a request for a new retaining wall. After starting job it was then decided new rock drainage regrading the yard and some beautiful new plants. Some of the previous trees and shrubs were also used.
Mr Dirt carefully shapes and radius the retaining wall to flow with the house and the homeowners wishes.
